About Gala de Cultura:

Centro was founded over 50 years ago, during the first wave of the civil rights movement. Now, it’s nearly 2026, and we find ourselves fighting for our rights all over again.

We won’t sugarcoat it: it’s been an incredibly difficult year for many. But we want to remind you that Centro is here for you. For us.

Our basic needs and sense of belonging might feel under siege, but we are here to remind everyone of a fundamental truth: we belong. We are the fabric of this community, woven together by a shared commitment to a better future. Anything that creates prosperity and economic well-being for our community members is our top priority.

At Gala de Cultura 2026, we invite you to join us to remember how each of our pillars of work connect to this collective effort. We are locked in with you, mano a mano, hombro a hombro, fueled by the power of our ancestors. We are here to build economic well-being and prosperity for our entire region—and we invite you to be part of it.

As we look to the future, we hope you’ll set aside February 27, 2026 to enjoy the here and now with us. Gather with us for celebratory drinks, a delicious dinner, an inspiring program, and a special curated live auction. We’ll invest big, dance hard, and enjoy a festive evening together.

Sponsor this event, buy your ticket to join, invite your friends, and help us spread the word—because Gala de Cultura is a testament to the fact that we are all in this together, mano a mano.

About Centro Cultural:

Centro empowers Latino families and diverse communities by removing barriers, fostering well-being, and building power to achieve economic prosperity.

Since 1972, Centro has built systems to improve the health and economic mobility of underserved communities in Washington County. We provide multigenerational and culturally-specific services through the following core program areas: K-12 STEAM education, workforce development, small business technical assistance, public engagement, civic advocacy, community health and wellness, transitional housing, and our free food Mercado.

Our work is led by two key strategies: mobilizing essential services to meet the needs of the community, and working with regional, state, county, and city-wide agencies to advocate for more resources and equitable systems change to support communities of color. We center the experiences of those most impacted in our communities in everything we do, with a commitment to reducing barriers at every level of our work.
